The Swimtime Story …

Once upon a time, young parents, Linda and Barry, couldn’t find local swimming lessons for their children. Luckily Linda was a qualified swimming teacher so she decided to start her own swim school. She called it Swimtime.

Soon all the children in the town wanted to learn to swim with Swimtime because the teacher was fun and kind and the pupils always felt safe with her.

Linda was so busy that she needed help. Suddenly there was a flash of light and as if by magic, Lorna appeared. She flew from Manchester to all the cities in the land to make sure all the children could swim.

Then Lorna joined the Swimtime team and found other swimming teachers who were fun and kind, and asked them to teach with her at Swimtime.

The swimming teachers were so fantastic that they could teach adults to swim too. Then all the mums and dads, grandparents, pre-schoolers, and even babies joined in the fun.

So many people wanted to learn to swim with Swimtime that Linda and Barry asked Jenny from Sale, and Debby from High Wycombe, Jane from Gloucester, Adele from Liverpool, Ian from Glasgow, Richard from Belfast, and lots of other great entrepreneurs if they wanted to join the Swimtime Franchise team.

The Swimtime story started in 1997. Today, Swimtime teaches thousands of swimming lessons every week in over 200 pools across the UK.

Swimtime is a national franchise network with a local Swimtime office in your area. Swimtime franchisees own their own businesses and are passionate about swimming. Swimtime franchises operate the successful, accredited Swimtime business model.

All independent swimming teachers working with Swimtime follow industry best practice guidelines. They hold top teaching qualifications, are lifesavers, have insurance, and current Enhanced CRB Disclosures or equivalent. The independent swimming teachers are all kind and fun and as highly qualified and motivated as Linda was when she taught the whole town to swim.
