Hello, I am Richard Timms and I am delighted to welcome you to Swimtime Ireland.

I am a level 3 teacher/coach and have been teaching for 25years. I am still actively involved in long distance/open water swimming around the chilly seas and lakes of Ireland. I am particularly proud & excited about the range of opportunities we can offer you or your family.

As well as children’s and adult group lessons, mini groups and crash courses each teacher is also available for private 1:1 lessons.

We have plans for more Swimtime venues throughout Ireland and of course this doesn’t happen by chance so keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes is my wife Jackie who manages the office.

Swimtime Northern Ireland are also currently looking for IASA/ASA level 2 swimming teachers for its expanding network of venues, so if you love teaching then we would love to hear from you.

Our motto is that, in water, you should be able to have fun whilst always remaining safe. Let us teach you how.

A new exciting syllabus includes adult group lessons as well as parent/child and parent/toddler classes.

Swimtime currently employs over 300 teachers nationwide. These teachers are largely responsible for the group lessons during school term time as well as the mid term crash courses which are extremely popular. 

Each teacher is also available for 1:1 lessons. These are particularly helpful for swimmers who are a bit nervous or for those who can not get to the lessons at the arranged times.
