Over the past few weeks, we at Swimtime, have been keeping abreast of the developments surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak. There are many outlets offering advice, but we strongly suggest that you, like us, follow the advice given by the government (GOV.UK) and the UK NHS Advice through their official channels.

In addition to this, we are also considering guidelines published by our independent industry body, Swim England, with latest reports confirming that at this time Public Health England deems swimming to be safe. The guidelines state: “Water and the chlorine within swimming pools will help to kill the virus”.

All of us at Swimtime want to reassure you that the health and wellbeing of our swimmers, their families and surrounding communities are our highest priority.

We must, however, reiterate the guidance from Public Health England in stating that; due to the highly infectious nature of Coronavirus, if you or your swimmer is suspected to have symptoms they should not attend swimming lessons until they are advised it is safe to return.

For more details on the terms and conditions of lessons please see our Knowledgebase article on the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
